Play in the trees

Our customer

Mrs J, had a large garden and a perfect spot for her climbing frame system, right at the bottom of her garden, on the edge of a forest. With many overhanging trees it was a great space to create not only a wonderful climbing frame system for here two children but the trees also created lovely treehouse effect.

Our challenge

We needed to design a climbing frame system that made full use of the wide but shallow area at the bottom of the garden. It needed to be as close to the back of the garden as possible too whilst fitting within the branches of the trees. With a rough, dirt surface to build on, once complete the climbing frame would need a durable and soft surface for play.

Our solution: twin play towers in trees

This definitely required a double adventure tower system. With two towers set at 5ft high and a rope bridge spanning the gap between, Mrs J’s children really were up in the trees. We added a fireman’s pole for a speedy exit, an access ladder to help smaller children up onto the towers, a scramble net, wavy slide, rock wall, pirate’s wheel, telescope and, for when its finally time for a break, a picnic table and benches underneath. What more could you want?

No climbing frame system would be complete without a swing set with monkey bars and so, at the front of one tower, we gave her children their perfect way to be king of the swingers! Finishing everything off was safe, soft and eco friendly play bark all around the main two towers – lovely!

This climbing frame system was designed to our customer’s exact requirements in terms or layout, positioning and play elements. In addition it featured a play bark base to cover the rough ground and create a soft, safe surface for our customer’s children.
