Double Rope Walk

The double rope walk is our favourite garden play equipment for kids of all ages. It provides enough challenge for all sizes whether they can duck their heads underneath it or not. Great for creative play your little Indiana Jones’ will love to cross the fiery pit or crocodile infested canyon again and again.

Build in sturdy round timber it will last for years. It is also much bigger than it looks, stretching for 2.4 metres from post to post. The premium reinforced rope ensures longevity.

The short side posts are perfect for a ‘leg up’ to get you started, but as soon as you leave ‘terra firma’ you are on your own.

A double rope walk is the most flexible, wobbly and entertaining way to stay above ground. Just don’t look down.

Cargo Net Crossing

The cargo net crossing is one of our favourites because it really is a box of tricks. On the face of it it looks a bit like some of the cargo pieces are missing until you see one of the kids climb high and thread their bodies through the upright ropes.

Don’t Cross the Cargo Net Crossing

You see, this really can be tackled in any number of ways, by all ages of children. Going low gives more stability and ropes to hang onto, but the more you tangle the slower you go. And what seems like welcome foothold soon wobble like jelly as they try to throw you off.

And, if you get stuck, watch out for the spider, ugh! I can’t bear to watch.

Suspended Tyre Crossing

Why not put the kids to the test with just about the most challenging raised equipment we offer from Gardenatics? Many have tried, most have failed to get across the suspended tyre crossing! It is much more difficult than it looks and, if you’re an adult, there’s worse news for you. The smaller you are, the better.

Hang this Tyre Crossing: Do You Dare?

It looks so innocuous, but the free swinging tyres have a mind of their own. Certainly it seems that their main aim is to make you fall and ‘bite the dust’. Not only that but there are so many methods of getting across, do you try to keep clear of putting limbs through the middle? Do you swing or try to remain calm?

Not only that, but it has been rumoured that kids who like to ‘go ape’ can spend hours just hanging out in this tyre crossing, not crossing at all. Just swinging back and forth.

It takes all sorts to take it on, but few end victorious.

The younger of our two grandsons had his 8th birthday party. The tree house had a thorough test by 16 children between aged 7 and 11. It has survived with no ill effects, being agreed to be ‘cool’ and a good thing.
