Our customer

Our customer, Mrs H from South West London, wanted to clear a multitude of small plastic toys from her garden as her children had outgrown them. But she wanted to replace them with something that offered real long term value, something that would last her children many years, something that they wouldn’t quickly grow out of. A spiral slide climbing frame took advantage of the space available.

Our challenge

Mrs H’s garden was small, with a considerable slope and had a narrowing finish and she didn’t want anything to cut across the garden. Also she wanted the climbing frame system not to block too much of the end of the garden. The slope also made fitting a climbing frame quite a challenge. Finally, space was an issue for the long slide she wanted.

Our solution: a spiral slide climbing frame with swing set

We designed a climbing frame system to fit along the side of the house. Due to space limitations we fitted a wonderful spiral slide and then left the lower cladding on the side at half height to give a clear view through to the end of the garden. Due to the slope of the garden we also excavated underneath the swing set to give enough clearance for little legs (and growing ones too!)

Was Mrs H happy with what we’d done? She said: “Thank you to Gardenatics for making the most of our small, sloping garden. The design makes the most of the space available and creates great potential for all kinds of active and imaginative play. We even go outside for reading homework now!”

This climbing frame system was designed to our customer’s exact requirements in terms or layout, positioning and play elements. In addition it featured a half height wall for better viewing from the house and excavated area under the swing set to create enough clearance.
