Mrs S wanted a two tower climbing frame for her rural property but the ideal position for it was in front of a wonderful viewing point over the countryside. Wanting something a little more special for her climbing frame system, this made the challenge all the more difficult.
So, how to build a climbing frame that can’t be seen??
We created two wonderful adventure towers, one in ‘XL’ (2 feet higher) size and avoided fitting anything that would block the view such as a lower level enclosure, upper enclosure, playhouse or ramp.
In fact the only element that would have blocked the view was a rock wall, which we carefully fitted on one side of the climbing frame so that it did not block the view. Of course, there wasn’t much we could do with the spiral slide!
In addition, we fitted a cargo net, access ladder and fireman’s pole, all of which caused minimal disruption to the view.
This climbing frame system was designed to our customer’s exact requirements in terms of layout, positioning and play elements. In addition, it featured elements which were specifically selected, as far as possible, to avoid blocking the view for our customer. Less cladding, as much built out of wood as possible, result!
