This posting is all about thinking differently about that neglected part of your garden that you’ve been ignoring for too long. By giving it a completely different lease of life with a climbing frame, you could breathe life and happiness into that plot and change the dynamics of your whole garden.
Consider these common scenarios:
Do you have an overgrown part of the garden which is currently shut away from use and view? Somewhere that started life as a compost heap but over the years has been allowed to expand and frankly take over the more cultivated parts of your garden.
Perhaps you think that some aspect of that site precludes you doing anything worthwhile with it. Maybe it’s a very shady part of the garden under a large spreading tree which is preventing any grass to grow beneath it.
Perhaps the previous owners used the area to dump all their household improvement waste in that corner and you’ve just not had the time to tackle it yet?
Maybe it’s termed a difficult site (due to gradient or perhaps it’s got a few problems with drainage making it a wee bit marshy) or perhaps it’s just been left to overgrow for a few too many years.
Whatever the reason for the current neglect, isn’t it time you welcomed this sorry patch of land back into the bosom of your family? The great news is that there’s always a way around any difficult patch of soil. If gradient is an issue, perhaps you need to have some of the earth excavated. If its boggy and marshy, maybe a bit of drainage is all that’s required? If the problem is rubbish and refuse, you’ll be surprised at what can be achieved with a skip and a shovel.
You never know, what was seen as a negative can be turned to your advantage. For instance, if that large spreading tree won’t allow grass to flourish, how about turning that patch of ground into a fully functioning treehouse and let your kids flourish and thrive thereafter.
By renovating your unloved part of the garden you’ll soon see the following benefits:
